With the practical chainsaw training course from Fassbender Tenten ! Recognized in North Rhine-Westphalia and developed specifically for hobby firewood buyers. Whether you're a long-time self-sufficient person or a newbie – we'll help you get ahead.
What will you learn in the course?
- Occupational safety and health regulations
- Appropriate personal protective equipment (helmet, cut-resistant trousers, safety shoes, gloves)
- Structure, function and handling of your chainsaw
- Felling techniques for wood up to Ø 35 cm
- Safe cuts in hanging or tensioned wood
- Tool care and chain sharpening – so that the saw always cuts

Participation requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- Own functioning chainsaw with a valid GS or FPA test mark
- Complete, tested protective equipment during the practical exercise
Structure & Organization
- Theory: Friday evening 4–8 pm at our branch Rheinbach
- Practice: Saturday mornings from about 8 a.m. directly in the forest
- Your own chainsaw (GS or FPA approved) and full PPE are required
Chainsaw license - dates
Number of participants: min. 7 | max. 15
Rescheduling / Cancellation:
If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to postpone the event or even cancel it completely.
Payment terms:
The seminar fee must be transferred two weeks before the start of the course. If payment has not been received by this date, participation in the course will be excluded.
Invoicing:
An invoice will only be issued upon written notification by email to tenten fassbender
Cancellation / Withdrawal:
It is possible to withdraw from the booking or cancel participation at least 2 weeks before the start of the course. In this case, any course fees already paid will be refunded in full.
If you cancel later, a refund of the course fee is not possible. We ask for your understanding.
