Important information and tips for drilling a well: Before renting, please clarify the soil conditions in your region and the drilling depth required in your city/district to extract water. This information is important to be able to assess in advance whether the drilling can be successfully completed. You should also clarify whether its use is permitted in your district – please speak to your local water protection authority in advance and be sure to register the well before construction.
In most cases, self-supply for garden irrigation is permitted, but for all other applications a well usually requires approval.

Rent or drill – How much does it cost to have a well drilled?

If you have a well drilled by a well builder, you'll easily pay €150-200 per meter. Depending on the soil conditions and groundwater level, this can easily cost between €1,000 and €2,000. If you drill it yourself, with our well drilling equipment rental, a well drilling project can be easily completed in a weekend following instructions. Rental costs are well under €500.

Is it worth having your own well?

A private well is especially worthwhile during warm and dry periods, i.e., whenever the rain barrels are empty and you don't want to use expensive water from the house pipes.
