Installing solid doors in lightweight drywall metal stud walls in a stable and safe manner initially seems like a challenging task. With the new Knauf However, with the heavy-duty profile BOB this can be done effortlessly and in a time-saving manner.

For soundproof and fireproof doors
BOB replaces the previous Knauf Heavy-duty profiles and is suitable for one- and two-part as well as single and double-leaf frame and door systems, including those with sound and fire protection functions. Each BOB set contains a 2 mm thick heavy-duty profile, a head bracket for ceiling fastening, a foot bracket for floor fastening and four bolt anchors (M8 x 76). This enables quick and safe installation in drywall metal stud walls.
Perfectly tailored to your application
Wall heights of up to 4 meters and door leaf weights of up to 220 kilograms are possible with the new system. The optimal configuration for the respective door or door leaf weight can be easily seen in the attached table.
Profiles in standard lengths (2,600 mm, 3,000 mm, 3,500 mm, 4,000 mm) are available from stock, special dimensions can be supplied.

Reduced time expenditure
The profiles are available in widths of 50, 75 or 100 mm and fit exactly to the substructure of the GK drywall, making compensation measures such as underlays unnecessary.
Thanks to the simple screwing of the paneling into the 2 mm C-profile and the direct assembly of the frames without pre-drilling, the time required is significantly reduced. Sliding ceiling connections of up to +/-30 mm can also be quickly implemented using the head bracket. Insulation materials can be laid up to the front profile level and cables can be fed through the pre-punched opening.
Sustainable GREENSTEEL recycled steel
Used for BOB Knauf GREENSTEEL profiles made in Germany, as used in the lightweight steel construction program. GREENSTEEL profiles contain around 20% recycled steel and produce around 80% less CO2 during production than a comparable profile made of conventional steel.
Assembly in just a few steps
Step 1: Position the foot bracket, then drill holes
Step 2: Insert the BOB heavy-duty profile with head and foot angles into the opening, align vertically and mark
Step 3: Drill holes at the top and then fix the heavy-duty profile BOB
Step 4: Place and tighten bolt anchors at the top and bottom, install the second side in the same way
