What is ZUGFeRD?
ZUGFeRD is a cross-industry data format for electronic invoice data exchange.
The ZUGFeRD data format integrates structured invoice data in XML format in a PDF document. This means that the invoice is always sent in PDF format. At the same time, the invoice is saved as an XML file with identical content within the PDF so that electronic processing in the company's own software systems is possible without any problems.
Many accounting and ERP software systems already support ZUGFeRD.

The sales tax law stipulates that invoices should be kept for ten years. i.e. Electronic invoices are originally to be stored electronically and must be machine-readable. It is not possible to store electronic invoices in printed form.
